For Controllers

Controllers check the project costs declared by each partner. All organisations funded by the Interreg NPA must have their costs certified by a controller, except for projects funded with lump sums.

How it works

At the end of each reporting period, each partner completes the list of expenditures in the Partner report and submits it in Jems. Controllers verify that the items are in line with the programme eligibility rules and are correctly documented. Controllers apply a risk-based sampling methodology to verify project expenditure. Controllers may ask for clarifications and additional documents. When satisfied, the controller will issue a certificate that will be submitted by the Lead Partner to the programme in the Project report.
